The Four Best of Category and Division Winners will go on to compete in the Premier Print Awards!
SPC received three awards for our very own “SPC Innovative Format Guide”: Best of Category award in the Digital Books category; Best of Division for the Print/Graphic Arts Self-Promotion category; and Award of Excellence in the Product Catalogs with 4 or more colors category. This printed guide and digital library is distributed to clients and hosted on the SPC website for our clients to reference anytime as they brainstorm ideas and formats for future direct mail campaigns. This library includes eight categories with 150 pre-approved formats to browse and use for a variety of vertical markets. Using laminated divider cards followed by two-sided digitally produced individual format cards, the guide is built to easily expand to include future innovations. The grommet holes and screw post keep it together and organized while the clear plexiglass box keeps it safe and in sight on any marketer’s desk
Winning Best of Category for the Self-Mailing Unit, the “AAdvantage Executive Minimalist Package” mailer has a high-end look and feel. The outer envelope was produced with a 4-color process, using a rich black ink, a spot dull strike-through varnish, spot gloss UV using HUV inks, a second pass, a spot soft touch aqueous coating, and silver stamped foil elements to give it a sleek and sophisticated appearance. The inside includes a similarly finished slim sixteen-page brochure. The spot gloss effects added to the photography highlight the elevated travel benefits with the Citi® / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard®. The letter form is two pages with QRs that drive to a landing page where end users can apply for the credit card.
Another Best of Category win, in the Cross Media Promotion category, was our “SPC 25th Anniversary Celebration.” This SPC marketing campaign was launched with a call to action to donate to a cause we are passionate about: Paper and planet sustainability. We sent an oversized self-mailer to clients and partners both thanking them for their trust in SPC over the years and asking them to help us celebrate by supporting our cause. Featuring a faux pocket holding a 2-panel greeting card, the piece was printed on recycled paper to drive home SPC’s dedication to sustainability. We announced our goal of 2,500 trees in the mailer as well as through shared messages to our audiences on social media and in our campaign’s email blasts. At the end of our campaign, we actually doubled our goal, planting 5,500 seedlings!
The “Omaha Steaks Seasonal Dining Guides” won Best of Category in the Direct Mail Campaigns, Consumer category and the Award of Excellence in the Direct Mail Campaigns, Consumer category. Both are envelope packages with inserts and a catalog enclosed inside.
